As part of our ongoing efforts to expand our services, we’ve been actively collaborating with leading partners from different industries. On 28 June, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Singapore-Sino Consulting Group joined hands with NK Robotics — a team with eight years of experience in robotics education — to run a robotics coding workshop for children aged eight and above.
Six children took part in the session, and for most of them, it was their first time experiencing both coding and robotics. Under the instructor’s guidance, they started by getting familiar with the parts, then gradually moved on to assembling and testing their creations, step by step. By the end of the workshop, they had built a robot that could dispense candies. The moment the sweets dropped out with a satisfying “click,” the kids’ faces lit up, and the room erupted in cheers.
In today’s AI-driven world, early exposure to these skills can make a real difference. More than just learning what’s in textbooks, the hands-on process helps children sharpen their logical thinking, strengthen their problem-solving abilities, and experience the satisfaction of bringing an idea to life — all of which are incredibly valuable.
Each child received a certificate from the Association of Coding and Robotics (Singapore), marking what may well be the very first “portfolio piece” of their learning journey. It also gives them a meaningful foundation as they build their future personal portfolios and explore potential DSA (Direct School Admission) pathways.
